The poetry group had their first meeting after the Summer and have decided, that Sally Elliott, and Mavis Wallace will share the group leadership and anyone interested can contact either one for information. Sadly this is because Moya McInnis is unable to continue as Group Leader

The first meeting of the new Family History group was held on Thursday October 14th
at Community House, with eight U3A members attending. There was a wide range of experience
including members who had not yet begun. In the spirit of U3A we exchanged information
and ideas and will continue as a self-
The next meeting, on Thursday November 11th, is at the Harrogate Family History Centre,
Wetherby Road, (part of the Library of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-
The December meeting has been brought forward a week so that members of the group can attend the U3A Christmas Lunch. We will meet therefore at the Community Centre on East Parade from 2pm till 4pm on Thursday December 2nd. Email: for more information
The class continues under the new leadership of Elizabeth Turner. There are three concerts planned before Christmas and more next year in February and June. Christmas lunch will be at Ascot House. Fun and friendship are assured. The Group meets weekly at St. Robert's Centre each Wednesday morning.
A new group for beginners in Spanish started on Tuesday 5th October at Community House,East Parade.
