Textile Crafts

We have changed the time of our meeting to 1-30 -3-30 pm which will give us the benefit of an extra half hour of good daylight.

Members have been given a project to complete by our December meeting : to make a Christmas tree ornament in the shape on one of the three Wise Men. Patterns and fabrics were provided so it will be interesting to see what emerges.

A while back, we took part in the Undersea Project organised for the RNLI, knitting fish, seaweed and miniature fishermen. We've now received photos of the finished work in which 1000 people took part. It is a deep sea "tunnel" filled with myriads of sea creatures and looks quite spectacular. Unfortunately, it won't be on display at any venues near here.

The Knitting & Stitching Show  will be held in Harrogate as usual in November. This is a treasure house of craft products and we are all looking forward to it.
