THE HARROGATE CONCERT PARTY (established January 1986)

THE U3A SINGING FOR PLEASURE GROUP
ARE TO PRESENT A JOINT CONCERT ON FRIDAY 15TH MAY 2009 AT 7.30 PM UNTIL ABOUT 10.00 PM IN THE CHRIST CHURCH PARISH CENTRE. THERE WILL BE AN INTERVAL OF ABOUT HALF AN HOUR AND TEA/COFFEE AND BISCUITS WILL BE AVAILABLE.
TICKETS WILL BE £5 EACH AND A FREE TICKET WILL BE GIVEN WITH EVERY THREE TICKETS PURCHASED. THERE WILL ALSO BE A RAFFLE AND RAFFLE PRIZE GIFTS WILL BE WELCOMED. ANY PROFITS WILL GO TO A LOCAL CHARITY OR TO LOCAL CHARITIES.

PROPOSED 6 DAY TRIP TO BELGIUM
Carol Harrington is planning a visit, under the MEP Sponsorship Scheme, to the European Parliament in Brussels at the end of September 2009 (Provisional dates 27 September to 2 October 2009). This will include a day guided tour of the Battlefields around Ypres, a day visit to Brugge and a half day in Ghent.
At the moment the above is provisional until the results of the European Elections are known in June 2009.
THE COST WILL BE VERY REASONABLE – iro £285.00 PER PERSON

Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis; cabins & meals on the P & O overnight ferry from Hull – Zeebrugge, together with evening meal in Brussels will be included
in the price. Singles, if possible, on a room sharing basis only.
