Issue 31
Autumn 2008
Everyone has stories to tell, from their life or from the lives of their parents
or grandparents. These are the stories, (true stories!) that you have told and retold
over the years at various get-
These can be stories that evoke a period and describe a lifestyle very different from now. They can cover anything which was significant in your life ….home life, childhood, war time, evacuation, heroism, tragedy as well as adventure, young adulthood, joy, courtship and marriage. They can also be tales of your parents’ and grandparents’ life.
The idea would be to collect these stories on a web site and to select one or two for insertion in Stray News each issue.
The stories would have to be submitted online and be no more than, say 400 words with a subject and a title. (There would be no reason you could not submit several entries over time). You could choose to give your full name, or just a first name or remain anonymous.
