THE CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
Open Day and AGM September 21st. 2007, held at The Cairn Hotel.
The doors opened at 11am for viewing what proved to be an impressive variety of displays which were both informative and inspiring. A steady stream of members and visitors admired the creative talent on view and got involved in discussion with Group Leaders and members.

At the AGM Verdi Lawson retired as Treasurer and Catherine Willmett was elected to the office. Barbara Peel was elected as Membership Secretary. There were no nominations for Vice Chairman.

The Chairman reviewed the U3A year at local, regional and national level and emphasised the need to manage change if the organisation is to flourish and serve members in the future.
No new issues were raised from the floor and the Chairman thanked all those who contribute, or have contributed, to making Harrogate U3A the success that it is today.
